Men's Wrestling

The mission of Alma College’s Athletic department is to provide an equitable, diverse, competitive intercollegiate athletic program that complements academic achievement by enabling students to understand the principles of fairness, responsibility, and leadership. Our Core Values are Academic Excellence, Competitive Greatness, Determination, Integrity, Passion, and Unity.

In 2011, Alma College launched the men's wrestling program. Since its restart, the Scots have produced 28 Scholar All-Americans, 8 All-Americans, 12 National Qualifiers along with numerous All-MIAA selections. The Scots have also produced 2 MIAA Senior Sportsmen of the Year winners.

With one of the best facilities in the nation in the Hatcher Wrestling Room and Sherman Strength and Conditioning Center, alongside a staff that includes Head Coach Jared Groeneveld '15, Jayce Kuehnlein 22’, and Fletcher Roberts '13, the Scots are in a terrific position to rejoin the nation's elite. The next recruiting class is taking shape with great men of character who will join the current core group of wrestlers looking to put Alma back on the map for success on and off the mat. Still, there are needs in the program.
