Alma College’s Philosophy Program encourages students to engage with life’s fundamental questions—such as the nature of knowledge, existence, and human responsibility—through the lens of history’s greatest thinkers. Students develop critical thinking, debate, and reasoning skills, allowing them to explore and tackle complex, contemporary issues like gun control, abortion, and euthanasia from multiple perspectives.
Your support will help expand opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of philosophy, gain mentorship from experienced faculty, and apply their skills in real-world contexts. Investing in Alma’s Philosophy Program will help cultivate thoughtful, ethical leaders equipped to navigate and influence the pressing issues of our time.
