Alma College’s Environmental Studies Program offers students unparalleled opportunities for hands-on learning and research, thanks to our 200-acre ecological site (the bog!) and access to nearby streams, rivers, and wilderness. Students choose from three specialized tracks—Environmental Health, Environmental Policy, and Environmental Science—each providing a deep dive into the vital intersections of the environment and human society.
With field and lab-based courses, as well as internships, research projects, and independent studies, our students gain valuable real-world experience. Many also have the chance to study abroad, further expanding their global perspective on environmental challenges.
