Gifts to Art and Design contribute to...
As an art and design major at Alma, students have the flexibility to align their classes with their passions – from graphic design to painting, sculpture or art history. Regardless of the path students choose, they will be able to:
- Build problem-solving and technical skills that will prepare them for success in the creative fields.
- Develop their practice in our facilities, which include individual studios for upper-level students.
- Access opportunities to exhibit and publish work from their first year on campus.
Additionally, each summer the program sends students to Oxbow School of Arts. The one week workshop gives students the incredible opportunity to experience a material or process that isn’t available to alma students, such as Glass Blowing, Jewelry making, small or large sale metal works, wood working.
