Steve Bazarnic Athletic Fund

After 49 years of service to Allegany Community College (now Allegany College of Maryland), Athletic Director and men's baseball coach, Steve Bazarnic, has announced his retirement.

Bazarnic is the only head coach that the ACM baseball team has ever had, and he has the stats to prove the impact that he has made over the years of his service:

-Three separate Hall of Fame inductions

 -Over 1,400 wins as head coach

-Seven, Division I JUCO North East District Championship Titles

-Two District III, Division II JUCO Championship Titles

-Nine total trips to the Junior College World Series

-Production of 53 draft picks (6 of which have spent time in the majors)

Steve has produced legendary statistics over his tenure as a baseball coach and Athletic Director at ACM but, if you ask anyone at the College, they would tell you that his most important stat is that of how many individuals he has helped along the way.

To honor Steve for his service to our area, June 10th has been dedicated as "Steve Bazarnic Day" in Allegany County. To help us honor and thank Coach Bazarnic even further, and to congratulate him and wish him well on his retirement, please consider making a donation to the newly founded " Steve Bazarnic Athletic Fund." This fund will be used to supply scholarships, pay for new athletic equipment, and other expenses to support student athletes at ACM.
