About

For 30 years, the World Mission Initiative at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary has equipped congregations and Christian leaders to engage faithfully in God's mission across cultures and around the world. Founded in 1996, WMI emerged from conversations among pastors, missionaries, denominational leaders, faculty, and church members who recognized the need for new ways to support local congregations in mission. Since then, WMI has remained committed to bridging cultures by listening deeply, learning humbly, and engaging faithfully.

Through conferences, resources, intercultural learning opportunities, and practical tools, WMI has empowered students, pastors, and mission leaders to cultivate thoughtful, sustainable mission engagement. Since 2002, WMI has sent more than 700 individuals on domestic and international intercultural learning and mission formation trips to more than 40 destinations, helping participants build lasting relationships across cultures and deepen their understanding of God's work in the world.

As we celebrate this milestone, our goal is to raise $3,000 to support WMI's ongoing ministry of equipping the next generation of faithful, globally minded Christian leaders.

Please join us in honoring 30 years of mission by making a gift today!
