๐ก PHYSICS: Restore a physics apparatus to working order
$2,000 - 1 e/m Replacement Tube
HCC physics students work with a laboratory apparatus called the PASCO Electron Charge-to-Mass Ratio System, which is designed for physics education to measure how much electric charge an electron has. Their current apparatus is missing a tube, which is essential to this piece of lab equipment.
The tube is a helium-filled glass bulb that contains an electron gun with a mirrored millimeter scale. When struck with an electron beam, the helium gas glows, making its circular path visible and measurable to students.
โPhysics is a human endeavor that is a story of trial and error, failure and success, much like the learning of every student who takes physics. Each student gets to engage and participate in this scientific journey of discovery. They each get to relive in their own way the unfolding history of human scientific experimentation and discovery.โ

The Impact:
By contributing to replacing one tube, you are enabling the current equipment to be in working order again, giving students hands-on experience with the fundamental physical laws governing the behavior of electrons. Students will learn about electromagnetism, energy conservation, and centripetal force, and be able to visually study magnetic fields on moving charged particles.

$2,000 - 1 e/m Replacement Tube
Thanks to you, we are now able to replace the tube in our current PASCO Electron Charge-to-Mass Ratio System apparatus.
Because of your support, we are able to restore the apparatus to working order again, giving students hands-on experience with the fundamental physical laws governing the behavior of electrons. Students will learn about electromagnetism, energy conservation, and centripetal force, and be able to visually study magnetic fields on moving charged particles.
Thank you. ๐
