The Dance program at NC State unites dedicated artists who are pushing the boundaries of performance. We are launching a fundraiser to raise $5,000 to provide our students with the essential tools they need to excel in the evolving world of dance and technology.
Our goal is to upgrade our software licenses to the latest version of Isadora, the industry-standard software for creating interactive performances. We will also purchase vital portable media tools, including LED lighting kits, tripods, gimbals, and memory cards. These resources will directly support students in our dance technology courses, empowering them to build advanced skills in video production, editing, projection mapping, and interactive installations.
Why it’s Important
Without these upgrades, students face the challenge of working with outdated software or relying on limited access to library computers, which hinders their creative and technical growth.

Funds will be placed in the Dance Enhancement Fund. If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, receives more funds than needed, or cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Department of Performing Arts and Technology. Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
