The University of Northern Iowa Suzuki Suzuki School is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2026! We’re planning a special celebration for May 2026, and we need your support to make it happen!
The UNI Suzuki School has been a musical home to families in the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa since 1976. Today, it includes over 100 children studying the violin, viola, cello and guitar — from ages 3 to 18 — along with a thriving orchestra program for students in 5-12 grades. The mission of the UNI Suzuki School is to enrich the lives of children and adults through the study of music. Guided by the teachings of Dr. Suzuki, we believe in the potential of every child to learn within the framework of the parent-teacher-child relationship.
We aim to raise $10,000 to cover activities and materials for our 50th Anniversary celebration. Your gift will help bring decades of alumni back to campus while creating a meaningful experience for the talented young musicians currently enrolled in Suzuki.
Any funds raised beyond our goal will further support the mission of the UNI Suzuki School through scholarships, outreach opportunities, orchestra tours and more.
Every gift brings us one step closer to our celebration 50 years in the making. Thank you for your support!
