Calling all NPHC organizations: it’s time to show up, give back, and make an impact together.
We're continuing the NPHC Challenge to support the Dr. Shelby R. Wilkes Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship honors Dr. Shelby R. Wilkes, the founder of the Black Alumni Society. Dr. Wilkes was a passionate advocate for Black alumni engagement and student success, and his vision created a lasting community grounded in leadership, service, and access to education. He passed away in 2024, and the memorial scholarship was established to ensure his legacy continues by directly supporting students.
🔥 The Challenge
From now until November 8th , each NPHC organization is invited to rally its members, alumni, and friends to give to the Dr. Shelby R. Wilkes Memorial Scholarship.
The NPHC organization that raises the most dollars by the close of the challenge will be crowned the NPHC Challenge Champion and receive recognition at The Step Show AND $1,000 for their organization!
Every dollar raised directly supports students and honors the lasting impact of Dr. Shelby R. Wilkes, ensuring that his legacy continues through education, leadership, and opportunity.
This is more than a competition — it’s a collective investment in our students, our community, and our shared legacy.
