ONWARD: Investing in the Whole Student Experience

About

ONWARD is The Woodstock Academy's most ambitious capital campaign in the school's 225-year history, a transformative investment in the spaces, facilities, and experiences that define student life at WA. Born from years of listening to our community and planning for what comes next, ONWARD is about more than buildings and fields. It's about honoring the full scope of what it means to be a Centaur: the early morning practices, the in-between moments where friendships form, and the shared experiences where character is built. Every project in this campaign was chosen because it directly shapes the daily lives of our students.

Phase I of ONWARD, on track for completion during the 2026–2027 school year, includes:

  • Four new post-tension concrete tennis courts
  • Improved drainage at the Bentley Athletic Complex
  • A major expansion of the Loos Center for the Arts parking lot
  • New turf on Kelly Field at South Campus
  • A full renovation of the South Campus track.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Phase I is nearly fully funded. Phase II builds on that momentum with:

  • New turf on the main field at Bentley Athletic Complex
  • The creation of a new student commons on South Campus, a dedicated space for the connection and belonging that sit at the heart of the Academy experience.

Education extends far beyond the classroom. It lives in shared spaces, in team experiences, and in the quiet moments between classes, practices, and performances. As an independent school, these projects are made possible through private philanthropy, which means your support directly shapes the environment where current and future Centaurs learn, compete, create, and grow. ONWARD depends on people who believe in this place. We invite you to be one of them.
