Support Lakers in need this Giving Tuesday 💙

From economic shifts and job loss to changes in family situations, many factors can affect a student’s ability to achieve food security. Replenish is Grand Valley's way of supporting the hundreds of students in need each month. 

Your gift to the  Replenish Student Food Resource Fund, no matter the size, helps stock the shelves of the center so no Laker will have to wonder about their next meal. 

Here is how your gift can make an immediate difference for students:

• $25 restocks the snack cubby in the Mary Idema Pew Library.
• $50 covers the cost of one bag of groceries.
• $100 provides food and personal care items for one student for one month.
• $500 feeds one student for one semester.

Your support will have a ripple effect that benefits students' physical and mental well-being and promotes their academic success. Plus, thanks to an early bird challenge from Philomena V. Mantella, $1,000 will be unlocked for Replenish once the first 500 donors give.

Looking for more ideas on where to make your gift? There are a variety of other need-based funds that you can support in order to make an immediate impact on Lakers:

• Dean of Students Emergency Fund:  Helps students facing a small, one-time hardship like small medical bills or vehicle repairs.
• Student Support Fund: Supports GVSU students that face extreme financial circumstances or if their financial circumstances suddenly change.
• Student Textbook and Supplies Fund: Provides funding to students who are unable to purchase one or more of their required textbooks, course materials or school supplies.
• Survivor Support Fund: This fund strengthens prevention and response initiatives across campus and empowers students to regain stability and continue building a secure, hopeful future.
