The High Bay Research Facility Structural/Materials Testing Laboratory is the best in the Mountain West—and we want to keep it that way. Our 4,500-square-foot structural testing laboratory gives University of Wyoming students and researchers the rare opportunity to build - and break - everything from small-scale material specimens to full-scale structures.

Giving Day support will establish and grow an Excellence Fund for the lab, providing flexible resources for graduate student summer stipends, equipment maintenance and upgrades, and innovative research. Our goal is to create new opportunities for students to collaborate with engineering firms, industry partners, alumni, and researchers.
