About

Electrical and Computer Engineering students are ready to take their learning beyond the classroom — to competitions, conferences, makerspaces and hands-on experiences that help prepare them for their future.

Registration fees, travel expenses, project materials, tools and supplies can add up quickly. Your gift helps provide departmental support for ECE students to showcase their work, build professional networks, gain leadership experience and represent NC State across the country.

Gifts may help support student experiences and resources such as:

  • ECE students traveling to engineering competitions, such as AquaPack Robotics students competing at RoboSub, a national underwater robotics competition in San Diego.
  • ECE students participating in leadership and professional development opportunities, such as Eta Kappa Nu (HKN), the international honor society for electrical and computer engineers, attending the annual Student Leadership Conference.
  • ECE students connecting with peers and professionals at regional conferences, such as Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) students attending SoutheastCon.
  • ECE students using makerspace tools and supplies to design, build and refine projects for coursework, demonstrations, competitions and conferences.

These are examples of the types of opportunities donor support may help make possible. Contributions to this campaign will support the Electrical and Computer Engineering Enhancement Fund, providing flexible support for ECE student learning, travel, project development and professional growth

Funds will be placed in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Enhancement Fund (058058/673830). If the project does not meet its fundraising goal, exceeds the project need, or the project cannot be completed, the funds will be used for the overall enhancement of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Enhancement Fund (058058/673830). Gifts are received by the NC State University Foundation, Inc. and may be distributed to an affiliated foundation that manages the fund supported by the donor.
