To kick off the 2022-2023 school year, we're challenging our dedicated parents to reach 60% participation in the first 60 days of school. That's 246 parent donors between now and November 18!
Here's how you can help:
- Make a one-time gift of any size, or set up a recurring monthly contribution to provide sustained support to the Calvert community.
- As you make your gift, consider your area of impact. You can direct your support to Academics, Financial Aid, the Arts, Athletics, DEI, and more.
- Share this campaign with your peers. Encourage them to join you in supporting Calvert this year!
Our 60x60 drive closes in just under two weeks! Please consider making a gift or pledge today to help us reach our goal.

“Calvert School has been such an important place to our family for so long. We felt compelled to honor the foundation our girls have received at Calvert with a special gift this year.”
Stephanie & Ben Coldren, P ’23 P ’26

From a class of fifteen above the Croft and Conlyn Apothecary in Mount Vernon in 1897 to our present-day campus at the corner of Tuscany and Canterbury, Calvert’s first 125 years have been marked by exceptional growth.
Through the leadership of our board of trustees and with the support of our generous community, our student body has grown to a record 628 boys and girls. Academic and athletic programming continue to strengthen each year. Student leaders are fostered through the Institute for Leadership & Purpose. Our current physical space has expanded from an “E”-shaped Lower School to a beautiful 16-acre campus, including a thriving Middle School and a newly constructed Luetkemeyer Athletic Center.
Yet despite significant growth and change, beloved Calvert traditions endure. Students still gather for assemblies and class plays. Calvert’s talented and dedicated educators still teach Calvert script and work with students to review and perfect folder papers. The names of Calvert’s impressive graduates still adorn the Lower and Middle Schools on class plaques, and students still sing “Silhouette Child.”
Calvert’s continued strength is made possible by our loyal community. Each year, unrestricted gifts to the Calvert Fund support our teachers, our students, and the unique elements that define a Calvert education.
