When is #GoDutch2019?
#GoDutch2019 is Wednesday, April 24, 2019!
What is the Annual Fund at Collegiate and what does it support?The Annual Fund is a fundraising initiative in which Collegiate solicits contributions from the entire Collegiate community. The Annual Fund provides vital resources to help support Collegiate in its mission to offer the very best education to deserving students. The Annual Fund is essential in covering roughly 10% of the School’s operating budget including: faculty/staff salaries, financial aid, athletics, and the arts.
What is the goal of #GoDutch2019?
Our goal is to inspire 150 donors—alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends—to make a gift to Collegiate’s Annual Fund; every student benefits from every dollar contributed to the School’s Annual Fund.
Where can I find #GoDutch2019 updates?
On our Give Campus page! Each time someone participates, the donor and dollar numbers will automatically update. You can see who else has been participating by clicking on the right-hand column. Encourage your classmates and friends so they don’t miss out: collegiateschool.org/givingday
How do I get my classmates involved?
Share on social media, by text, or by email! GiveCampus has automated links you can share with your friends and classmates via email, texting, Facebook, or Twitter. Showcase your support and tag others who could be involved.
How can I inspire others to give?
Make a challenge or matching gift on our GiveCampus page. Under the summary box, on the left side, you can submit your challenge or match to your classmates or to our entire community.
What are the incentives?
We have live incentives on the GivieCampus page. When you share your link or gift on social media you create the opportunity for your friends and classmates to “click” and give. Advocates whose links generate gifts earn Collegiate swag! See the left-hand column for details.
Can anyone participate in #GoDutch2019?
YES! To be successful, we need all of our community to be involved. We encourage all members of the Collegiate community: current parents, parents of alumni, alumni, grandparents, faculty/staff/administration, and friends, to participate!
Is my payment secure?
Yes, all payments are processed through a secure online system.
Is there a minimum gift?
No, all gift sizes are appreciated! The School values every gift regardless of the size. No gift to the Annual Fund is too great or too small; all gifts make a difference, help us reach our financial and participation goals, and ensure Collegiate’s future.
What types of gifts count toward the giving day goal?
While we appreciate your gift regardless of how it comes in, for giving day, we focus on real-time gifts. Gifts should be made at collegiateschool.org/givingday to be included in our totals. It’s a great day to pay off your annual fund pledge or make a new or additional gift in support of the Fund. Unfortunately, we are unable to count new pledges toward our total, but we love knowing your intentions, even if you aren’t ready to make a gift at this time.
Can I make a recurring gift?
#GoDutch2019 is focused on one-time gifts.
What if I already made my annual gift this year?
Thank you for your generous support of Collegiate! We appreciate your commitment and hope you will consider another participatory gift during #GoDutch2019 which will help towards our financial goal and our participation goal. Giving today can also help encourage others to make their gift!
Why is participation important?
Annual giving demonstrates our shared sense of responsibility in sustaining Collegiate’s mission. The more stakeholders an institution has, the stronger its foundation. Participation from across the Collegiate community is fundamental to the success of the Annual Fund; it is a measure of our strength and an endorsement from our community.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Collegiate is a 501(c)(3) organization under the Federal IRS code. Contributions to the Annual Fund are tax deductible as allowed by law. All donors receive an emailed tax receipt stating their gift amount, date of gift, and a statement that no goods or services were provided in exchange for the donation.
