Donations toward the building program at Hull Springs is vital in transforming it into a world-class environmental education facility. All gifts are tax-deductible and provide opportunities for our students to study, learn and team-build for longer periods at this beautiful property.
Our vision for Hull Springs goes beyond the limitations of the existing facilities. The idea is centered around place-based courses and activities that leverage aspects of the environment—particularly the wetlands, near-shore brackish estuarine habitats, environmental remediation efforts and the presence of artifacts of archaeological significance.
Construction of new facilities will include a teaching and research laboratory, new student and faculty housing, outdoor gathering/teaching spaces, dining facility, and high-speed internet connection with bandwidth capable of transmitting research data back to the University’s main campus and beyond.
With the development of improved facilities, Hull Springs can increase its use by students and faculty across all disciplines and further attract individual investigators from Longwood and other institutions to site their research programs at Hull Springs.
Join us in the 2019 Day of Giving and help us achieve our goal of 100 donors to make these buildings a reality!
