Every person can make an impact.
Join the DWU community for a special two-day online initiative, DWU Cares, on April 28 and 29.
During these two days, every part of the campus community will have the opportunity to make an impact in some way. What that impact looks like is up to each person. It could be writing encouraging notes to friends or members of the community; it could be using your musical talents to lift others up through song; it could be clean-up at a local park; it could be a gift to the Wesleyan Scholarship fund to propel future generations of Tigers.
The world around us has drastically changed in the last month. As always, we thank our alumni and friends for your continued generosity and support of Dakota Wesleyan University. Although students have been presented with a different feel of the Wesleyan experience, our faculty and staff are committed to ensuring their success and forward momentum is uninterrupted.
It is important that you know how much DWU students will continue to depend on scholarship support. Your gracious contributions to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund are still needed as it provides our students with a priceless gift. The gift of opportunity.
How will you make an impact? #DWUcares

The support from our DWU community has been outstanding! We met and exceeded our stretch challenge of 300 donors, bringing our total to 332 donors contributing over $53,000! The hashtag #DWUcares was used 166 times across social media. THANK YOU ALL for your outpouring support of our students during DWU Cares. The campaign is open through today!

We have been so inspired and overwhelmed by the response of our community for DWU Cares. In these two days, 256 donors raised over $44,000 for student scholarships. Let’s keep the momentum going! We are leaving the campaign open because Ron and Sheilah Gates have offered up a STRETCH CHALLENGE! If we reach 300 donors, they will make an additional $2,000 gift.

It’s remarkable what Tigers can do when they show how #DWUcares. Another $2,000 is going to student scholarships because we’ve reached 150 donors. The day isn’t over, let’s keep making an impact!
Ariana Arampatzis ’17 and Tank love Dakota Wesleyan and are participating in DWU Cares through service projects and giving back to student scholarships. They encourage you to do the same! 🐾2374 days ago by Annie Ruden
DWU alumni Rick ’79 and Val Fosness ’83 Melmer are grateful for what the university has given to their lives. Listen to their message encouraging your support of DWU Cares by making a gift to student scholarships.

Our students are AMAZING! Social distancing hasn’t slowed them down from making an impact where they are. Some of the projects we’ve seen so far during DWU Cares is food distribution, encouraging notes and letters, washing cars and planting flowers. Because so many students have been out making a difference, we’ve officially unlocked our $1,000 challenge match! Thank you to Rick and Theresa Kriese and Joel and Kitty Allen for the generous contribution to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund!

“We cannot do all the good the world needs...but, we are so proud of all the good the DWU family is doing! Please join John and me in doing what you can.” - Linda Kropenske ex’72 and John Jacoway ’59
Join us for the second day of #DWUcares by making a gift to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund. When we reach 150 donors, Linda and John will give an extra $2,000! Your gift can make an impact and support future generations of Tigers.

SUCCESS! We made it to 50 donors; which means another $1,000 is going to student scholarships! It has been so heartwarming to see everyone coming together and giving back in ways they can. Let's keep the momentum going! #DWUcares

When we reach 50 donors during DWU Cares, President Amy and Ken Novak will generously contribute $1,000 to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund.

If 100 students participate with a service project and post on any social media using #DWUcares, generous donors will donate $1,000 to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund. Go spread joy and don't forget to post!

Serving the community is a big part of Dave Mitchell’s life. From cleaning ditches during the Great Wesleyan Giveback, to serving at Love Feast, donating blood and supporting student scholarships, Dave shows the true spirit of giving back to the community.
In that spirit, Dave is challenging alumni and friends to give back by making a gift to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund. For all new or increased gifts made to the Wesleyan Scholarship Fund during DWU Cares, Dave will match up to $25.
We encourage you to be like Dave and give back in some way. Whether that is cleaning a ditch, sending a note or mowing your neighbor’s lawn – we can all be like Dave.
