It's the biggest day of Gael pride and community!
1Day1SMC is our day of giving where our entire Gael family comes together in support of current students and their futures. Support the programs that mean the most to you and create opportunities for today's Gaels.
Regents' challenge met!
It took only 95 minutes to reach our goal of 100 donations between noon and 3 PM. The Board of Regents will now donate $11,000 because we met that challenge together. Let's keep it going!

The dust has settled and we are thrilled to report that 1DAY1SMC was a tremendous success!
We exceeded our goal of 1,000 donors! You joined over 1,100 donors from our community to give over $245,000 for Saint Mary’s students and programs.
We heard from donors across the country and spanning the globe, from New York to Alaska, Japan, Australia, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.
Softball, Cross Country, Women's Rowing were the top three teams in the athletic “most donors” competition. Donors came through for our students in so many areas, including gifts to scholarships, academic resources, student clubs, and athletic teams.
1Day1SMC donors are connected to Saint Mary’s in many ways:
- 31% are alumni
- 22% are parents and grandparents
- 12% are friends of the College
- 10% of our donors are students themselves
- 10% are faculty and staff
Among alumni, the classes of 2005, 1984, and 2020 had the most donors. We received support from every decade including the classes of 1952 and 1959.
If you were an earlybird donor… you helped build the momentum that was vital to success.
If you gave mid-day… you gave us the credibility for others to believe we could make our goal.
If you were an end-of-day donor… you gave us a few more gray hairs, and you came through to put us well beyond the goal.
As Isabel Martinez ‘22 said in her email that day, “When I think of all the ways donors help Saint Mary’s, it means a lot to have the support of so many people.”
With gratitude,
Beth Johnson
