“The Juried art exhibition is very beneficial for students. Through this exhibit, I learned what it is like to have my work in a gallery setting. I won an artistic achievement award for one of my ceramic pieces. Now on my resume, I can add that I am an award-winning artist! Winning an award and being selected for last year's exhibition was very beneficial for me, it made me feel I could succeed in the art world and that my art is appreciated. Because I was in this exhibition, I was also featured in the campus newspaper, which gives me publicity for my work. This exhibit has inspired me to keep doing what I love.”
