During this giving event, students can still give to an area that matters most to them such as an academic department, or athletic team as well as the following options:
1) Student Government Initiatives could include:
- Textbook Assistance Program, which provides dozens of students every semester with support to purchase their course materials. Typically, we are able to help up to 70 students purchase up to 300 dollars in supplies.
- Auntflow Program, which provides free menstrual products in every bathroom around campus.
- Commuter Pantry and Vouchers, which provide non-perishables and kitchen access to commuting students without a dorm or meal plan, as well as a free meal swipe once per month that can be used in either the Student Market or Dining Hall.
2) Student Clubs and Organizations could include:
- Humans Vs Zombies, a game played nationwide on different college campuses that started at Goucher College in 2005. They meet multiple times a week and organize campus wide games involving nerf blasters and tag-like dynamics.
- The Quindecim (The Q), the college's publication was founded in 1913. The Q is distributed to over 1,400 students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees, and other members of the Goucher College community, and can be found at over 25 locations on campus, and throughout the Towson area.
- Rocky Horror Picture Show, is a staple of campus culture that has been around since the 1980s. The shadow cast of the cult classic film is a year-round tradition and an opportunity for conversations around gender and art.
