Student Spotlight

Alyson Lang is a Senior studying Graphic Design at NSU, working as a Tech Fellow for NSU TV and an Intern for Midwest Nice Art.

 “The small classes allow for more meaningful interactions that lead you where you’re supposed to go. In the art department, this focused environment makes it easy to get to know everyone in your major. The professors are truly invested in your success, they take the time to understand your goals and are always there when you need advice.”

Alumni Spotlight

Kai Brisk is a BFA 2023 alumni working full time at a pottery studio in Minnesota and teaching at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts. He also sells his work at art fairs and is exploring soda firing!

 “The art faculty at NSU really allowed me the freedom to explore and push my ideas in the studio. I essentially lived in the studio and that did so much for my growth as an artist. The faculty led critiques really helped hone in my art whether it was the function of a lot of the aesthetic.”
