At UNCW’s College of Health and Human Services (CHHS), we are dedicated to helping students develop the skills they need for successful careers through excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.  

Through your support of the College of Health and Human Services Excellence Fund, our students gain access to opportunities that enrich their education and prepare them for real-world success. As dean of the College of Health and Human Services, I deeply appreciate the ways gifts to the Excellence Fund support our mission of enhancing health and quality of life, especially within underserved communities in southeastern North Carolina. 

What Your Gift Supports: 

• Real-World Learning Opportunities: Like our Pre-Health Programs, which provide students and alumni with hands-on experiences such as suture and Stop the Bleed clinics, university bus tours and interview practice sessions.   

• Scholarships and Financial Support: Making education more accessible for all students, supporting those Seahawks facing financial challenges and recognizing academic achievements to help students pursue their professional goals.   

• Community Impact: Through internships, clinicals and practica over the last three semesters, more than 3,800 CHHS students have contributed over 33,000 community service hours. Your support helps increase the number, quality and impact of these vital experiences.
