Q: I'd like to give to ICAP but see this is a University of Denver site; how's that work?

A: The International Career Advancement Program (ICAP) is housed within the Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver. The Korbel School provides staffing, fundraising support, strategic leadership, office space, and other essential overhead for ICAP. It has been a program of the Korbel School ever since Dr. Tom Rowe began ICAP when he was dean of the Korbel School in 1997. You will receive a gift receipt from University of Denver and a thank you from the dean of the Korbel School for supporting this prestigious and life-changing program. University of Denver is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID 84-0404231). 5% of each gift is allocated to the Campaign Investment Fund that helps provide this crowdfunding site, credit card processing fees, and other fundraising overhead.

Q: Will my contribution go toward my annual ICAPFA membership dues?

A: No. The ICAP Fellows Association is an independent 501(c)3. The campaign featured on this page is to raise funds directly for the International Career Advancement Program. Please contact ICAPFA leadership directly for questions pertaining to dues.

Q: What happens if the targeted funding goal is not met? Will the funds be rolled into 2026?

A: Our goal is to raise enough funds to host ICAP Aspen next fall. If we do not reach our target, funds will be utilized for future ICAP events and programming needs.

Q: Can we still give after the December 2, 2025 deadline?

A: Yes, we appreciate donor support throughout the year and are immensely grateful for every contribution. Donations given outside of this crowdfunding page may not be reflected in the crowdfunding campaign totals but will most certainly be put to good use supporting the ICAP program.

Q: What exactly will my gift be used for?

A: Donor funds cover expenses like lodging, food, event space, materials, and other directly related program expenses. The greatest need at this time is to cover expenses for ICAP Fellows who were planning to attend ICAP Aspen this fall but have lost sponsorship funding due to recent government budget cuts.

Q: Can my gift be anonymous?

A: Yes, simply check the box under your name on the payment screen that says, "Please do not display my name".

Q: Can I give in honor or in memory of someone?

A: Yes, feel free to add the name of the person you'd like to honor in the box on the payment screen that says, "In honor of".

Q: My employer matches my charitable contributions. How do I get started?

A: We partner with Double the Donation to make submitting your donation match request as easy as possible. You can search for your employer's name in the search box on the payment screen that says, "See if your company will match your donation!". Please remember to follow up with your employer!

Q: If I'd like to make a gift from my Donor Advised Fund, IRA or write a check, what do I need to know?

A: Gifts should be made payable to "University of Denver", include "ICAP (50035002)" in the memo line, and send payments to:

P.O. Box 910585
Denver CO 80291-0585
