University Honors offers two unique experiences through the Chancellor’s Honors Program and the Haslam Leadership Scholars Program. Both programs offer scholarship opportunities, advanced leadership training, and advanced curriculum that cultivate the Volunteer spirit of service and prepare students to lead with purpose on campus and beyond. 

Honors Program Enrichment Fund – Currently less than 7% of the student body has access to one of our Honors programs despite more than half of our students meeting the requirements for application. This is a resource issue that private support can help address. With your gift, you open doors of opportunity to thousands of well-qualified UT undergraduates seeking to challenge themselves at the highest levels.

Haslam Leadership Scholars Program – The Haslam Leadership Scholars is a prestigious cohort-based experience designed for exceptional undergraduates. Scholars receive full scholarships and engage in advanced leadership training, Tennessee-based internships, and global experiences. With an emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, personal development, and meaningful community engagement, HALS cultivates the next generation of leaders—equipping them to succeed academically, professionally, and as engaged citizens.
