College of Education Faculty Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1958, the College of Education Faculty Memorial Scholarship is EDHD’s oldest scholarship and a cornerstone of its commitment to future teachers. For nearly seven decades, it has opened doors for aspiring educators dedicated to serving schools and communities with purpose and compassion. HESA Scholarship in Honor of Dr. Michael D. Coomes 

The HESA Scholarship in Honor of Dr. Michael D. Coomes celebrates a distinguished leader in higher education and a champion for graduate student success. This scholarship provides financial support to full-time students enrolled in the College Student Personnel (CSP) and Higher Education Administration (HIED) graduate programs who are in good standing. Preference is given to first-year graduate students and those who demonstrate financial need, helping ensure that talented, committed students can begin and continue their graduate studies with confidence. Your generosity strengthens the preparation of future higher education professionals who will shape student experiences, campus communities, and institutions for years to come.

Janet Parks Sport Management Student Opportunity Fund

The Janet Parks Sport Management Student Opportunity Fund is a tribute to Dr. Janet Parks extraordinary impact as an intellectual leader in sport management and a defining force in shaping BGSU’s program and generations of students. Over decades of teaching, scholarship, and mentorship, Dr. Parks set the standard for excellence, integrity, and professionalism in the field, leaving an enduring imprint on the sport industry through her students. This award assists students with funding for professional experience opportunities—such as attending major industry or career networking events, participating in Mid-American Conference activities, and other high-impact experiences that accelerate their growth as emerging professionals.
