Since its founding in 1942, the College of Social Work has faced challenges with courage, confidence, and compassion. Today, those values guide our work as we serve our state and region.
We are proud that more than 40% of Tennessee’s master’s-level social workers are our graduates. They lead and serve in community mental health centers, domestic violence shelters, family service agencies, hospitals, and schools—demonstrating the vital importance of social work education and the lasting impact of our alumni.
To continue this mission, we rely on the generosity of alumni and friends. Your support helps reduce student debt, fund student travel and research, and power community outreach through social justice innovation initiatives and other projects.
