"Attending Northern afforded me the opportunity to pursue a major that I was passionate about, with professors that were invested in my success, while fulfilling a life-long dream of swimming at a collegiate level. All of my best memories from the four years I spent at Northern are linked to my teammates that became family and I am so grateful to have fostered friendships that I know will stand the test of time. Being a student-athlete allowed me to build upon existing strengths as well as develop new ones which have carried me through the transition from student-life to real life and have allowed me to seize opportunities that I couldn't dream of.
