The memories I made as a member of the Hanover College cross country team are ones I will cherish forever. Obviously, I look back fondly on my individual accolades, but the best parts were the normal everyday practices with my teammates. I developed many of my closest friendships while putting in thousands of miles through the farm fields and neighborhoods of Hanover. Whether we were talking about classes, helping someone through a tough time, or having a nonsensical debate because we ran out of intelligent things to talk about miles before, we all knew we had each other’s backs and the same goals in mind. We didn’t always reach the goals we set as a team, but the journey towards those goals with my closest friends is something I would never give up.
