The Fund for Unpaid Internships seeks to ensure that no West Chester University student has to turn down an internship because of a financial barrier.  The Fund began supporting WCU students in fall 2021, and has since provided funding for 70 students completing unpaid internships.  Which is great news, except that we received 359 applications for funding.  We are working to build capacity to increase funding from about 20% of applications received to closer to 50%, and eventually, being able to fund all students who are experiencing a financial barrier to completing an internship.  Your partnership in making that a reality means the world to students looking to launch into their futures!
