Rising Brothers and Sisters is a mentorship program that seeks to increase the representation of successful professionals of color on Point Park's campus and in high schools. They do this by providing students with small group support systems and programming focused on academic preparedness, career readiness, and character development.
The Chuck Cooper and Josh Gibson Center for Equity and Education seeks to create equity and opportunities in education and employment for youth and families from communities of color. It focuses on skills necessary for college and career readiness. The center serves as a convener of resources, providing workshops, college mentors, and opportunities to meet with community and business leaders and college faculty.
Pioneer Records is a Point Park University-operated record label managed by the sports, arts, and entertainment management department and housed at Red Caiman Media, a commercial recording studio in Pittsburgh's Uptown section.
The Michael P. Pitterich Sales & Innovation Center is a state-of-the-art facility located on the ground floor of West Penn Hall, home to the Rowland School of Business. The center supports Point Park University’s focus on career readiness by providing opportunities for engaging experiences from a real-world perspective. Students who engage with the center will expand and apply their knowledge while building skills and expertise as they prepare for career success. Sales education, research, and support are also available to partnering organizations through the center.
New to the Rowland School of Business is the Community Engagement & Leadership department. It offers a variety of innovative academic programs designed to prepare scholars and practitioners to work in partnership with civic, business, and community organizations to become agents of change in diverse community settings.
