• Wayne County Schools: Mentorship programs in Wayne County Schools connect seasoned educators with 147 future teachers, including students, teacher assistants and substitutes. 

• Jones County Schools:  In Jones County, the Coloring the Landscape Summit, allows participating students to attend career days and field trips to network with representatives from various teacher educator programs. 

• Carteret County Schools:  Advocacy programs in Carteret County Schools offer professional development for teacher assistants to pursue advanced degrees.
