As the Twardowski Career Development Center continues to focus on being visible, approachable, and inclusive, and as we look to scale services to all students on campus, we will be investing in three major areas to support students as they launch into their first or next professional endeavor.
1. Technology
- LinkedIn Photo Booth at the Center for accessible professional photos whenever students need them
- Resume software that helps students who are learning to build a college-level resume and can support thousands of students in the process
2. The Fund for Unpaid Internships
- Providing wage stipends, travel stipends, and scholarships to students completing off-campus experiential opportunities that are unpaid, ensuring that no students has to turn down an internship because of a financial barrier
- In its first year, the Fund was able to support 19 students doing unpaid internships, however, there were 75 applications.
3. Career Ambassador Program
- Expanding the Career Ambassador program and our ability to bring services outside the walls of the Center to support students where they are already living, learning, and hanging out.
