Hello! Our names are Clayton and Alex, and we are the respective president and treasurer of ReFusionShaka 2026. Clayton is a rising senior who produces and drums in Boomshaka, and RFS has been his favorite event on campus since before he was even in it! Alex is also a rising senior in Fusion Dance Company and is serving his third year as treasurer, leading his third Catalyzer campaign! We, along with our larger exec team and all of our performers, are incredibly excited to gear up for this year’s big show. Our dancers and drummers rehearse for months to prepare for two unforgettable nights on the big stage, and there is nothing like the feeling of performing in Cahn Auditorium to a full audience. Thank you for checking out our page, and we hope you’ll join us in making this year’s RFS truly unforgettable.

Refresh Dance Crew, founded in 2005 by a close-knit group of friends eager to explore the world of dance, has blossomed into a diverse dance family embracing styles from popping and breaking to choreography and anchored in the values of Respect, Family, and Hustle. Fusion Dance Company gathers passionate artists from various backgrounds to craft compelling choreography influenced by hip-hop, jazz, and more; since beginning in 2003, we have also expanded beyond the Northwestern community and into the Chicago dance scene. Boomshaka, Northwestern's premier drum, dance, and rhythm ensemble, unites percussion and dance styles, delivering energetic, unique performances from a pool of multifaceted talent since 1998. Together, we have created ReFusionShaka (RFS), the largest student-produced dance concert on campus which has grown immensely since its inception in 2010, filling Cahn Auditorium with sold-out shows.
