The Pirates for Pirates Challenge is happening now, and this is your opportunity to give back with your support of Pirate Football!
We are gearing up for our first game in our new on-campus home. Please make sure to get your tickets for the Homecoming game against Rhodes, as we plan for a packed house. I hope to see you there and celebrate this momentous day for our program.
While we are in the middle of our season, there are some opportunities for your support to have a direct impact on the team. We have some of our state travel heading to Georgia next week and Tennessee in November. Our gift account is also used to pay our six part-time assistant coaches for their tireless efforts to enhance our program and give more direct support to athletes.
We rotate through 10-20 new helmets each season and would ideally like to get to a point where everyone has two. This allows us to stay up to date on current safety features. I would like to get an alternative white helmet to reduce wear on our existing black helmets and expand our uniform combinations. Past donor support has helped ensure our athletes' safety, so we would like to continue growing in this area with your gifts.
Our goal this year is to have 200 donors during the Pirates for Pirates Challenge. When we reach our goal, Assistant Head Coach Nick Mask '16 and myself will shave our beards into mustaches. Gifts of all sizes collectively impact our program and elevate the experience each athlete receives. Deanna and BJ Martin are also offering a generous matching gift opportunity to double your impact, giving $1 for $1, up to $3,000!
Thanks and Go Pirates!
