This past season, we finished 3rd in our first year in the Southern Athletic Association. Our athletes received postseason recognition: Freshman Aryana Dunkelberger was named the SAA Gold Glove Award recipient, and Allie Fields and Daniella Clark were named to the SAA First Team All-Conference. We also broke some program records, including stolen bases in a season with 64, and in a game with 7, Allie Fields broke the single-season record for stolen bases with 21, and Macey Gilman broke the single-game record for home runs with 2.
The Pirates for Pirates Challenge has officially begun! This is the time to rally around our athletes for the upcoming season. Our goal is 100 donors and $12,000 for the Softball program. We want to purchase a new team set of uniforms, costing between $8,000 and $10,000, as our beloved pinstripes have seen their full wear. A new player development software video system, updated field windscreens, new dugout padding, and team bonding events while on the road during SAA play this year are other things that your gifts will go to as we embark on another record-breaking season. We greatly appreciate your support on and off the field!
To sweeten the deal, if we hit our donor goal, the team will be able to select the coaching staff's outfits to sport all day, and if we hit both goals, I will run our cross-country course in said outfit.
Make your gift today to support Pirate Softball. Gifts of all sizes collectively impact our programs and elevate the experience each athlete receives. Please encourage friends and family to join you during this time in support of our program!
Thank you and Go Pirates!
