The Pirates for Pirates Challenge has officially begun, and now is your time to support Swimming and Diving. We are very excited to welcome 13 new swimmers to the squad, who we are confident will make an immediate impact on our rosters, along with our returners, who we expect to make jumps in the conference ranks.

We held our Black vs. Gold Intrasquad Scrimmage over the weekend and jump-started the season with our first competition at the University of St. Thomas next weekend. Our meets bring an ample amount of opportunities to grow and prepare ourselves for the SAA Championships and beyond, including the trip to Sewanee at the end of the month and the Tiger Invite at Trinity in November. Both of these meets give us a chance to see where our squads stack up and help us make moves forward in the conference hosted by Centre College in Danville, Kentucky.

Last season, five athletes were named to the 2025–26 CSC Academic All-District Team for their outstanding achievements in both athletics and academics. At the conference meet, the women's team was highlighted by an individual conference title by Senior Elizabeth Krajca, multiple championship-final appearances, consistent relay scoring, and a fifth-place team finish. Our men's team recorded multiple A-final appearances, consistent relay scoring, and a sixth-place team finish to close out the four-day championship meet.

Our program can benefit greatly from your support this year, with gifts going toward our Swanee trip later this month, our annual training trip to Florida in January, preparations for the conference, and new tech suits for the team, which cost between $200-$400 each. During the Pirates for Pirates Challenge, your gift will support these and other emerging needs of our program so we can continue to offer an elite experience for each of our athletes.

Our goal this year is 75 donors, and when we reach it, I will ride a pirate bike into the pool off the low dive in full pirate gear. Beth and Marty Angeli are also offering a matching gift opportunity to
double your impact, giving $1 for $1, up to $9,000!

Gifts of all sizes collectively impact our programs and elevate the experience each athlete receives. Please encourage friends and family to join you during this time in support of our program.

We'll have a tailgate at the Homecoming game, Saturday, Oct. 24, so hope to see you there or at an upcoming meet!

Thank you and Go Pirates!
