In gratitude for his many years of service to the University and the Department of Political Science, we invite donations to The Lincoln Excellence in Political Science Writing Award. Dr. Neal Wise generously established this award with his own money following his retirement. He named this fund after President Abraham Lincoln, who he believed was the greatest President, speechwriter, and orator. This award recognizes political science majors who advance one aspect of the university's mission: "To express themselves articulately in...written form." The award is offered in the Fall and Spring semesters.
