My name is Caitlin, and I am a junior at UC Santa Cruz studying Global and Community Health.

Being a member of UCSC Rugby has been one of the most impactful parts of my college experience. Through this program, I have developed leadership skills, built lifelong friendships, learned how to work as part of a team, and challenged myself both academically and athletically.

The opportunity to travel to New Zealand is especially meaningful to me because as team captain, I want our squad to develop into a force in the Pacific Mountain Rugby Conference, rivaling the top teams in the country.  I know that a trip like this is a life changing opportunity, but one that will also help us better understand rugby culture and elevate our skillsets.
