Help the Archives complete conservation work on a priceless 1912 Wright Brothers Bent End Propeller so it can once again be publicly displayed for the campus, community, and visitors from around the globe who visit Special Collections and Archives to experience the largest Wright Brothers Collection in the world.
The Bent End Propeller was one of a series manufactured by the Wright Company for use on the Wright Model C standard commercial production airplane in 1912. The propeller is likely to have been used at Huffman Prairie during the years the Wright School of Aviation operated. It has been on display in the archives since its donation in 1978 and deterioration of the artifact has occurred over time due to aging and environment. Conservation is necessary to stabilize the propeller for long term preservation and exhibit.
