Ultra-High-Dimensional Statistical Learning

Hometown:  Williamsburg, Virginia

Department:  Mathematics-Applied

Advisor:  Guannan Wang

Project Description:

My Honors project aims to develop an efficient statistical learning method to analyze ultra-high-dimensional data (n<<p). More specifically, I will use different methods in both parametric and non-parametric techniques to achieve dimension reduction. I will also develop a package in R for non-parametric screening for general high-dimensional data. Moreover, I will try a new parallel computing algorithm to improve the computing efficiency.
