Investigating Dye-Sensitized Photocatalysis Using Single Molecule Spectroscopy

Hometown: Reston, Virginia

Department: Chemistry

Advisor: Dr. Kristin Wustholz

Project Description:

My Honors Thesis investigates one way of harnessing solar energy known as dye-sensitized photocatalysis. I aim to understand the underlying electron transfer kinetics which govern the efficiencies of these systems and how we can improve their performance. Ultimately, my research will inform the next generation of solar cell technology.
