The Effect of Environmental History on the Stress Response of the Eastern Oysters

Hometown: Pittstown, New Jersey

Department: Biology

Advisor: Emily Rivest

Oysters are becoming increasingly challenged by human-caused climate change, but little is known about how their environmental history influences how they might respond to climate stressors, such as ocean acidification.  My Honors Thesis will focus on how the proximal environmental history of an oyster influences its response to future environmental stressors.
