Hometown:  Basking Ridge, New Jersey

Department:  Psychology

Advisor:  Cheryl Dickter

Project Description:

An estimated 1 in 68 children in the US are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, yet the existing research lacks studies evaluating how people respond during interactions with someone with this diagnosis. I will study whether different biases can be used to predict nonverbal discriminatory behaviors towards this group. By better understanding society's attitudes and behaviors towards individuals with ASD, we can work to address potential prejudices and ultimately promote neurodiversity.

All William & Mary Honor Fellowships fundraising supports the Charles Center Honors Fellowships Fund. Direct support for individual undergraduate research projects is distributed by the Roy R. Charles Center for Academic Excellence
