Ethics, Ontology, and the Environment: How Implicit Assumptions Shape the World Around Us
Hometown: Charlottesville, Virginia
Department: Philosophy
Advisor: Aaron Griffith
For my honors project, I'll be working to oppose anthropocentrism in environmental ethics and create an anti-hierarchical alternative to those deeply-rooted positions. In doing this work, I hope to cast a light on the damaging assumptions that permeate humankind's interactions with the natural environment.
