FGLI Students - William & Mary
FGLI at W&M is a student organization as well as a project to create a supportive community and provide programming to inform and advocate for first-generation/low-income students on campus. In just one semester, we have already brought together an amazing group of first-generation, low income (FGLI) students, commenced programming, and taken the initiative to create connections across campus and gain the support of many, including President Rowe. As an institution with one of the highest median income and lowest proportions of Pell Grant students among public colleges in the United States, we want to ensure that the needs of this small but important group of students are met at William & Mary and that a strong FGLI community exists on campus to support them.
FGLI at W&M is currently finishing up the student organization recognition process and wants to continue building off the momentum that was created last semester through the Tribefunding campaign. With Tribefunding, we will be able to continue providing support initiatives for first generation, low-income (FGLI) students.
