Dare to Dream

This project is an emergency fund founded by UndocuTribe to help offset the costs that students at William & Mary with heightened vulnerability due to their immigration classification may face. This will include aid for approved legal fees and documentation renewals during their time here at William & Mary. This emergency fund is to help offset the costs for unforeseen events and expenses that students with heightened vulnerability status may face.

Financial stresses from the factors listed above distract our students’ attentions away from their studies and extracurriculars, which affects their overall performance and experience here at William & Mary. Through this emergency fund, we wish to allow our fellow students to focus on their academic and future careers. UndocuTribe seeks to be an ally and create a support system from which they can draw from. No student should have to go through the stresses of legal fees or the possibility of deportation alone.

Our advisor, John Riofrio, is a professor at William & Mary in the Hispanic and Latin American Studies departments. UndocuTribe also works closely with the LatinX Alumni Association.

If Goal is Not Met: Less monies to provide emergency support for students at W&M with heightened vulnerability due to their immigration classification
If Goal is Exceeded: More monies to provide emergency support for students at W&M with heightened vulnerability due to their immigration classification.
