We're building an online database to help W&M undergraduates do research in Linguistics and related fields, including Anthropology, English, GSWS, Psychology, and Sociology.
Dr. Cochrane and her team of undergraduate researchers -- Discourse Analysis at William & Mary (DA@W&M) -- have years worth of data collected by fellow student researchers to share! A searchable, customized database will help students do original linguistics research for capstone courses, honors theses, and independent projects. In addition, having an easily accessible database will help students in early courses access actual data for classwork, helping to get them excited about doing real-world research of their own.
For our data to be accessible to all W&M students, we need the software to build the database and a dedicated computer to house it.
With your help, we can create student opportunities in undergraduate research across multiple disciplines and help people learn about language!
