Pursuing the Monarchs: A Documentary

Hometown: Paris, France

Department: Biology

Advisor: Harmony Dalgleish

My Honors Thesis is a documentary about the monarch butterflies. Today the monarchs are dying; their population has declined by up to 80% in the last decade and their outstanding migration phenomenon is now endangered. Pursuing the Monarchs is a film that will take the audience on a journey though Mexico, where the butterflies overwinter, and the United States in order to understand the biological and social reasons at the root of population's dwindle.
