College exists to improve communities and the world. Higher education especially improves the lives of those from families where parents are not college educated. First-generation students, those for whom neither parent has completed a 4-year degree, are especially valuable to our communities and nation, as they often work and live in areas where a college education can make the most difference.
The First Generation Student scholarship fund provides financial support and matches students with volunteer faculty mentors who have regular one-on-one meetings to help students succeed. By providing financial support and volunteer faculty mentoring, this program makes a higher education more attainable.
Invest in our shared future! Your contribution goes to lift a person from limited career opportunity and lower income to career choice, entrepreneurship, and success. We believe that equipping first generation students with college degrees helps grow the success of their families, their communities, and our nation in this world.
By reaching $5,000, we can begin to award scholarships to go along with our volunteer mentoring. No donation is too large, and no donation is too small. Please invest what you can in our shared future. The first $5,000 in gifts will be matched 1:1, so double your impact and make a gift TODAY!
